Miss Nell Marie Wall, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, died Monday, July 4, 2011, after a short illness. Miss Wall was born Aug. 29, 1929, the only child of Sarah and S.B. Wall. Visitation at Greenoaks Memorial Park Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Thursday, July 7, from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at noon, with the Rev. Lawton Searcy officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St. Miss Wall was a graduate of Louisiana College. She retired from the Louisiana Board of Education with 33 years service. Miss Wall spent her retired years volunteering as her church secretary and treasurer and caring for her beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her dear friend, Aileen Jackson. She is survived by good neighbors and her church congregation. Miss Wall was an exceptionally loyal friend. She served God by serving others. Miss Wall requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given to the Dayspring Church Building Fund, 1750 La. 30, St. Gabriel, LA 70776.
