Nicholas Blanc Jr., a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, April 19th with loving family at his side. Born in Kaplan, LA, Nick was a Korean War veteran and a general contractor in Baton Rouge for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Racca Blanc, and his brother Kenneth Blanc. He is also survived by his sons, Dwayne (Donna) Blanc and David Blanc; two grandchildren, Rachel (Ben) Treuting and Ryan Blanc; and one great-grandchild, Lenin Treuting. He is predeceased by his parents, Nicholas, Sr. and Azelie Blanc, sisters Lorraine Dake, Beatrice Cutler, Geraldine Baudoin, and Barbara Cooper. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., beginning at 9:00 am with memorial services in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be Thursday at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, donations to Autism Speaks, a science and advocacy research organization or the John Ritter Foundation for aneurism research would be appreciated.
