Nicholas Quartararo passed away at the age of 88, on Friday, April 8, 2022. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of St. Rose, Louisiana. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Those who knew him would describe him as a dedicated family man. His family was his pride and joy. A retired salesman and later LSU police officer, he enjoyed family gatherings. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 58 years, Millie Bourgeois Quartararo. He is also survived by his son, Craig Quartararo and his daughters, Karen Fruge (Farrell), Gina Magri (Dan), and Lori Medica (Mike); grandchildren Destin Marlar, Trey Fruge, Erica Fruge, Camille Fruge, John Magri (Lindsey), Rebecca Magri, Mikaela Medica, and Brandon Medica; great-grandchildren Kannyn Magri and Nolan Magri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Quartararo and Margaret Starlone Quartararo, and siblings, Joseph Quartararo, Mathilda Bacile, and Rosemary Crawford. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst East on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 8:30 am until mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 10:30 am, officiated by Father Michael Alello. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Mikel Bacile, Paul Vonder Haar, Chris Vonder Haar, John Magri, Trey Fruge, Brandon Medica, and Destin Marler.
