Nikki Hickman was born to the proud parents Adelaide Jacobs and Edwin Jacobs Sr. on August 19, 1944, in Oakland, California. She was called home by God on April 9, 2025, at the age of 80. She was surrounded by all of her loving family and friends near and far.
Nikki was the devoted wife of Eugene Hickman. They were married for over 30 years before he preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children, Christine Scott, Gene Hickman Jr., Nicole Pitstick and Stephanie Douzier; and two generations of family members.
Nikki loved history and politics. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana after 20 years as a Director. She was both a leader and mentor. One of her favorite sayings was “Different Strokes for Different Folks”. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in Heaven.
