
A retired office manager for Toxie Craft Civil Engineers and Survey, she died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at Landmark Nursing Home. She was 95 and a native of Lottie. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, Dec. 18, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes on Friday from 9 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Maringouin. Survived by a son, Toxie W. Craft Jr., Lakeland; sister, Cornelia Parker, Arkansas; and devoted niece, nephews, and family, Florie Ann and Marlin Troxell, of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her husband, Toxie Craft; three brothers, William, Hewitt and Houston Smith; two sisters, Florie Troxell and Emily Fairchild; daughter-in-law, Jimmie Lee Craft; and parents, William Henry and Florie Wilson Smith. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, an alumni of St. Mary Dominican College, New Orleans, and past president of the Epochal Study Club, Thursday Reviewers Book Club, Dixie Decorators Garden Club, North Baton Rouge Lioness Club and Women's Auxiliary of the Louisiana Engineering Society.
