Norman Taylor, a native of Bush and resident of Greenwell Springs, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at age 85. Mr. Taylor was a retired electrician with Local 995 with 62 years of service. Visitation at Zoar Baptist Church on Monday, Dec. 28, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at noon, officiated by the Rev. Kevin Hand. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Myrtle Taylor; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Bea Taylor and David and Julie Taylor; four grandchildren, Jennifer Chick and husband Ruark, and Chad, Jesse and Mindy Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Jacob McGehee, Caroline Chick, and Preston and Riley Taylor; and a brother, Ray Taylor. Pallbearers will be Chad and Jesse Taylor, Jacob McGehee, Ruark Chick, Larry Crow and Edward Smith. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for their "angels on earth" who gave such special care to Mr. Taylor, Edna Whittington and Pam Taylor.
