
A retired supervisor with Ethyl Corp. with 38 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 12:16 a.m.on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Ochsner Medical Center of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Navy aviator veteran of World War II and a native of Reserve. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visiting at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Francis Nguyen. Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marguerite Felder Wilton; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Mary Wilton; sister, Julie Wilton Angelloz; and two grandchildren, Sara Emily Wilton and Seth Taylor Wilton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman J. Wilton Sr. and Juliette Vicknair Wilton; two sisters, Ray Ryan and Juliette Redd; and a brother, William J. Wilton. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was a 1940 graduate of Catholic High School. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic High School.
