

Olga Kovalchuk, 85 of Baton Rouge, La. peacefully passed away in the presence of her loved ones on Thursday, February 13, 2014 due to complications with spinal fractures of her back. She was born to Walter and Eva Dulevich in Joliet, Illinois. Olga graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1945 before beginning her career with General Motor Electromotive Division. She met the love of her life, Dan in 1953 and they were married in 1955. They were transferred to Baton Rouge in 1965 and have resided ever since. Olga was a homemaker, wife mother and grandmother who enjoyed her two grandsons, Ben Boyett and Nathan McDavid. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and there was always "next year". She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Daniel J. Kovalchuk, daughter, Tamara Ann McDavid and her husband Keith, two grandsons, Ben Boyett and Nathan McDavid. She will be dearly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Julie Jovanovich. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 after 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd. and on Monday, February 17, 2014 after 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Lukes Episcopal Church. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 11:00 am, Father Bryan Owens will officiate. Interment in Resthaven Memorial Park under the directions of Rabenhorst Funeral Home
