
Ollie Hubble Margot passed from this world peacefully at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at her home in Baton Rouge following a courageous battle from a stroke she suffered in 2000. She was born May 7, 1923, in Grosse Tete and resided in Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Oct. 25, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., at which time the funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Tom Duhe of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ezola Andre Hubble; father, Louis J. Hubble; and brother, Louis L. Hubble. She is survived by her brother, Thomas Hubble; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Louis Frank Margot. The two met and married at the outbreak of World War II. Inseparable best friends and successful business partners, together they owned and operated Margot Automotive for 52 years. Starting with a small repair shop on Myrtle Street, they worked side by side to build the business into Louisiana's largest front-end alignment complex with a staff of more than 85 loyal employees by the time they retired and sold the business. Ollie Margot has been the wind beneath Louis' sail and the glue that moved their thriving collective business forward. Her ever-present smile will be missed by many. Pallbearers will be Tommy Hubble, Walter "Buddy" Craft, Ken Craft, retired Judge Darrell White, Cleve LeBlanc and Dontine Stamps. Honorary pallbearers are James "Big Jim" Armstrong, James "Jim" Barton, Leroy Courtney, Dave Hollins, Charles Moniotte and Michael "Mike" White.
