Orvel Robertson JacksonPassed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Our Lady of The Lake Livingston. She was 79, a native of Verdun and resident of Baton Rouge. She was retired from the Baton Rouge City Police Department. Orvel is survived by sons, Mark and Cynthia Jackson, Thomas and Linda Jackson, William and Shondra Cokes; sisters, Vernie Radcliff and Voris McDonald; nine grandchildren, Wade and Dwayne Jackson, Dustylynn Jackson Downing, Sarah Cokes, Dodie Molliere, Hayleigh Bergeron, Tyton Cokes, Andrew Cokes and Titus Johnson; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Robert M. Robertson and Lena Willie Robertson; and brothers, William J. Robertson and Robert "Mack" Robertson. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, LA, Friday, February 13, 2015, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 14, 2015, 9:00 a.m. until religious services at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Ben Stratton. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 21949 LA 444, Livingston, LA.
