Patricia Marian Boone died Nov. 8 in Baton Rouge. She was 94. She was born in New Orleans and was predeceased by her parents, Peter J. McGovern and Lorena Speirer McGovern. She attended St. Francis elementary school and Eleanor McMain High School in New Orleans. She graduated from LSU in 1950 with a degree in journalism. She was married to William S. Grass Sr. for 40 years until his death in 1991. In 1999, she married James Leo Boone. Survivors include a sister, Georgine Lauve (Buddy), Woodworth, La.; children, Gwen Theophilus (David) and Jeanne Ann LaRose (Phil), both of Baton Rouge, and William S. Grass Jr. (Tammy), Plano, Texas. Grandchildren include Joseph and Andrew Konyha, Colin and Patrick LaRose, and Zachary and Ava Grass. Great-grandchildren include Parker and Lucas Konyha, Olivia, Genevieve and Michael LaRose, and Gina Marie LaRose; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church since the late 1950s and was involved in Catholic Daughters and worked as a school volunteer. She was a minute clerk for the Baton Rouge City-Parish Council and transcriptionist for various insurance businesses. She was an avid tennis player, having stopped playing at age 80. She was in a longtime bourre club and enjoyed casinos. Visitation at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. George Mausoleum.
