Patricia "Patty" McQuaid Coerver

"Patty passed away at her home, Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the age of 90. She was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and Louisiana State University where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Patty was a parishioner of St. George Catholic Church. In 1949, she married Thomas Cahill Coerver, Sr. A devoted wife and mother, she loved to cook, entertain, and garden. Patty is survived by her son, Thomas Cahill Coerver, Jr., and wife Esther; grandchildren, Tykie Olinde Middlebrook, Roslyn Olinde Page, and Andrew Olinde, Jr. and wife Mary; and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Cahill Coerver, Sr., parents, William and Regina Kleinpeter McQuaid, sister, Katherine Walter; and by her brother, William McQuaid. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visitation continues at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, Thursday, October 26, 2017, after 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Father Michael Schatzle. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Diana Lacey, Patricia Williams, Betty Winfrey, Betty Lee, Kassandra Dunn-Barrera, and Susan Foley.
