Patty Ann Fitzhugh Landry left us to start her eternal life in the house of the Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, just short of her 79th birthday on April 21st. Patty was a loving mother, grandmother, cherished wife, an unforgettable aunt and friend. She was known for her big heart, contagious laughter, and joyful spirit. Patty brought light and laughter into every room she entered. She was always the life of the party and cared for others more than herself. Patty also knew back in September she was only given six to eight months to live. Patty only told one person and kept that secret until the end. Go out with a bang! That was her. During those months, Patty sat back and watched everyone and enjoyed her last Christmas to watch her family have one last joyful time together. Christmas was her favorite holiday of the year. Patty was born on April 21, 1947, in Dennis Mills, LA. I guess grandma couldn’t make it to a hospital. She lived a life full of love, humor, and generosity. She had a special way of making everyone feel like family. She was a devoted and proud mother to her two children, Wendy and Ray. She was also the “favorite aunt” to all of her nieces and family members who adored her playful personality and endless encouragement. Most of all, she was adored by her husband and true love of 35 years, Mark Alan Landry “Hutch”. Patty was truly the life of every gathering. Whether it was a holiday dinner, a backyard cookout, or a family get-together, she was often at the center of it all telling stories, dancing, laughing, and just making memories that her loved ones will carry forever. Her warmth and kindness drew people in, and her sense of humor kept them smiling. Above all, she loved her family deeply. Her children were her pride and joy, alongside her loving husband. She never missed a chance to celebrate their accomplishments or remind them of how much they were loved. She had a remarkable gift for lifting others up, offering comfort, and making even ordinary moments feel special. She taught her children to be humble and respectful, to not judge, and to be thankful for all that they had because there was always someone worse off than they were, and to have no worries. No matter what, we will always have each other and that is worth more than gold. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 35 years, Mark Alan Landry “Hutch”; children, Wendy Deniece Leteff (Dawn Anderson), and Warren Ray Leteff, Jr.; treasured grandchildren, Hailey Christine Leteff, Adam Tyler Leteff, Clinton Lee Bergeron, Kelsie Price (Liam), and Keith “Bubba” Lee Werkheiser, Jr. (Josephine Rogalsky); great-grandchildren, Mia, Liam, and Grayson Price, and Ryder Werkheiser; nieces, Terry Arnold (Bobby), Lacy Seamon (Cory), Lauren Landry, and Jennifer Landry Davion (Joey); mother-in-law, Elsie Landry; sister-in-law, Kathy Alleman Landry; brother-in-law, Gerard Landry (Connie); and extended family and many friends more like family. Patty is preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Essie Fitzhugh; sister, Jeanette John “J.J.; nieces, Tammy Marie John Ashley and Tonya Kay John; daughter-in-law, Laura Levasseur; father-in-law, Harold Landry, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Harold “Hal” Landry, Jr. Pall bearers will be Adam Leteff, Keith Werkheiser, Jr., Liam Price, Bobby Renolds, Joshua Wolfe and John Wolfe. Honorary pall bearers are Bobby Arnold and Wallace Wolfe. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
