A retired professor with LSU Medical School, New Orleans, he passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 83 and a native of Hungary. Services will be at Beth Shalom Synagogue on Friday, Oct. 17, at noon. Interment in Liberal Cemetery. Survived by his wife of 51years, Judy Roheim; son, John Roheim, M.D., and wife Chenee; grandchildren, Noah Roheim and Alli Roheim; nephew, Steven Paroczy; and cousins, Dr. Judy Spitezr and Dr. John Spitezr. He was a member of the American Heart Association, AIPAC and active in the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans.
