A resident of Jarreau and former resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, in New Roads. She was 92 and a native of Kenner. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her stepdaughter, Mellissa Martin Graffagrino; stepdaughter-in-law, Irene Martin; son, L.J. Sims and wife Glenda "Sam"; stepson, Donnie Paul Martin; and 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Sims; second husband, Dan C. Martin; two sisters and five brothers.
