
Passed away on Tuesday, February 4th at the age of 70. Percy was an entrepreneur including real-estate development but most well known in the hair-styling profession. He owned one of the first large hair salons in Baton Rouge and was a former member of the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. As a horse enthusiast, he won many Cutting Horse Competitions. He had great appreciation and love for his mother and his siblings. Percy took pride in his fatherhood and grand-fatherhood to his boys, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. He is survived by his children Curtis Solar (Kay) and Stephen Solar; grandchildren, Carrie Solar Menge (Steven), C.J. Solar, Cody Solar, and Mack Solar; great-granddaughter Annabelle Menge; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Percy is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Aida Solar. A private memorial service was held by his family. The family would like to thank all of Percy's clients for their patronage to him over the years.
