Peter Michael Lombardo, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge went to be with Jesus to his heavenly home on November 3, 2021, at the age of 67. He graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1973. Peter was a dedicated employee in the grocery/retail industry. He began at an early age and worked until he became disabled in 2005. Many people around Baton Rouge recognized him as a caring, friendly face at Carlin’s grocery store and Walmart. Peter was a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #2807. He also served many years as an altar server, usher, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony and St. Patrick Catholic Churches. Peter enjoyed serving others and making people smile. He was a passionate, diehard L.S.U. tiger fan. Peter is survived by his dedicated, “always faithful side-kick” twin brother, Paul Joseph Lombardo and a sister, Ella Lombardo Fairchild and her husband James Fairchild. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Joseph and Lois (Sobral) Lombardo. Visitation will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.. A service of remembrance and celebration of life mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Rabenhorst Funeral Home East. Special thanks from the family to St. Clare Nursing Home and Pace who provided care and support for Peter over the years.
