

Phillip D. Duncan, Jr., a loving husband and father, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the age of 63. Phillip was a native of Monroe, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from Neville High School in 1971 and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Northeast Louisiana University in 1977. He was a member of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, the International Association of Special Investigation Units, the International Association of Arson Investigators, and the Baton Rouge Claims Association. He was a District Claims Manager for Farm Bureau Insurance and retired in 2013 after 35 years of dedicated service. Phillip is survived by his wife of 19 years, Carol Guine Duncan; sons, Duffy and Josh Duncan; parents, Phil Duncan and his wife, Marjorie, and Ada Tarpley and her husband, John; father- and mother-in-law, Leonard and Barbara Guine; sister, Lisa Huffty; brothers, Don and Randy Duncan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Katie Duncan and Mallory Duncan. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
