Philomene Anne Dugas Tolusso

A longtime resident of Baton Rouge and Greenwell Springs, Louisiana passed away peacefully at the age of 99, early Thursday morning January 30th, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Anne was born September 21st, 1914 in Brusly McCall Louisiana. She is the daughter of Adam and Philomene Dugas. She was a graduate of Denham Springs High class of 1934 and a graduate of Baton Rouge Business College. She retired from Hancock fabrics after 15 years. Anne married Leonard Tolusso on December 17th 1938. For 61 years, she was a Charter Member of Court St. Charles 1608. She is survived by three Daughters, Cheryl Lynn Wyble Laurence of Denham Springs, Charlotte Townsend and husband Larry of Greenwell Springs, Mary Favalora, Allen TX. Grandchildren, Heather Young Alwood and Husband John, Christy Wyble Heltzel, Bradley Townsend and wife Christy, Angela Townsend and husband Adam, Gareth DiBetta and wife Courtney, Brittany DiBetta Benitez and husband Stephen, Kaitlyn Favalora, Great Grandchildren, John Alwood IV, Austin Heltzel, Dylan Townsend, Micah and Gage Moreland, Caden, Collin, Cohen, and Gabrielle DiBetta, Sisters, Mildred D Raiford Garrison and Aline D. Ellis and husband Richard of Baton Rouge, Sister-in-law Nancy Travis Dugas of Glynn La. and many, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her loving husband Leonard Tolusso, Son-in-law Kenneth Laurence two brothers, Claude Dugas Sr. and wife Dorothy (Susie), Melvin Dugas, Brother-in-laws Carl Raiford and Willie Garrison. Grandsons Brian Schott and Sgt. Paul Heltzel, A great grandson Jakob N. Heltzel and great granddaughter, Heidi Noel Heltzel, her parents, Adam and Philomene Dugas  and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the Rosary being said will be held at Rabenhorst East at 11000 Florida Boulevard Baton Rouge, LA 70815 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Sunday February 2, 2014 with funeral services to be held at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church at 2121 North Sherwood Forest Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815, starting with visitation at 9:00am with Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery 4045 North Street Baton Rouge, La. Pallbearers: Henry Tolusso, Bradley Townsend, Gareth DiBetta, Gary Coates Jr., Austin Heltzel and Dylan Townsend. Honorary pallbearers: Larry Townsend, Richard Ellis, Charles Wyble Jr. and Adam Moreland.
