I am the Resurrection and the Life: he who believes in Me even if he died shall live: and whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Piper went home to be with Our Father on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010. She was 41. Piper was a ray of sunshine to everyone she touched. She had the gift of making everyone around her feel a special relationship with her, bringing out his or her unique qualities. She was a friend to us all, but most of all, she was a mother to Jacob and Elise, her angels. She is now their angel, forever watching over them. We know that Eric welcomed her home and the music is now playing for both of them. We'll miss her smile, her laughter, but, most of all, her unconditional love. Her spirit will live in us all forever, until we meet again. A wake was held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
