

Preston Louis Dailey, 89, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away on August 11, 2026. Born February 22, 1937, Preston served his country as a United States Air Force Veteran, a life marked by duty, steadiness, and quiet devotion to those he loved. He was a devoted Catholic.
Preston is survived by his daughters, Terri Manuel and husband Jerry of Zachary, Barbara Junius of Denham Springs, Karen Winston of Denham Springs, Brenda Alexander and husband Scott of Denham Springs, and Lisa Prescott and husband Bryan of Walker; and by his son, Anthony Dailey and wife Jonette of Gulf Port. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Alexander, Morgan Alexander, Matthew Alexander, Katelyn Prescott, Olivia Bond and husband Caleb, Justin Manuel, Brittany Manuel, Ryan Manuel, Lindsay Ross and husband Mark, Tyler Junius, Brandon Winston, Kyle Winston, and Brandy Dailey; and by his great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Winston, Hagen Ross, and Ella Ross; and by his brother Maurice Daily.
Preston was preceded in death by his wife, Jetta Centineo Dailey; his parents, Dallas and Elvina LaSalle Dailey; his brothers, Albert Dailey and Lloyd Dailey; and his sisters, Annie Cormier, Theresa David, and Shirley Baudoin. Their memories remained an enduring part of his life and legacy.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806, US, on August 17, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am followed by funeral services held at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Alexander, Matthew Alexander, Justin Manuel, Ryan Manuel, Tyler Junius, Brandon Winston, and Kyle Winston.
Preston will be remembered with respect and gratitude—for his service, for the family he cherished, and for the lasting presence of a life faithfully lived.
