"Ramona E. Patterson, EdD. was born on November 27, 1929 in Porterville, CA, and died on March 22, 2017 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a graduate of Framingham State University, Wheelock College, and George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. She treasured the years she taught Early Childhood Education. She is survived by sons, William Patterson and wife Cindy of Virginia Beach, VA, and Robert Patterson and wife Cathy of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, McKenzie Patterson Langel and husband Jon of Fort Pierce, FL, Donald Patterson and wife Keri of Diamond, MO, Jasmine Patterson, MD of Tampa, FL, Jennifer Patterson Wagonmaker, PhD and husband Jason of Chicago, IL; two great-grandchildren, Rourke Patterson and Leighton Langel. She is also survived by special friends, Beverly Jones and Sheila Smith. A memorial service will be held at St. Alban's Episcopal Chapel at a later date. Donations may be made to St. Alban's Episcopal Chapel or Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown is in charge of the arrangements.
