Randal "Randy" Daniel Sr.

Randal Dale Daniel, Sr., a native of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully early March 2nd in hospice care in Lafayette. Born on June 26, 1941, Randal graduated from Zachary High in 1959 and went on to graduate from Southeastern University. He served in the US Marine Corp and was a State Farm insurance agent for more than forty years in Baton Rouge. Anyone who knew Randal knew of his love for his children and his lifelong obsession with all things golf — not to mention his great sense of humor and quick wit. He was the consummate gentleman. Randal was proceeded in death by his father Austin Dale Daniel, mother Belle West Daniel and son William Austin Daniel. He is survived by two daughters and a son: Blake Sinclair Daniel, Peyton Daniel Robertson (David) and Randal Dale Daniel, Jr. (Gretchen); as well as daughter-in-law Jill Daniel (Austin), sister and brother-in-law Charlotte Daigrepont (Bob), and seven grandchildren: Stella Daniel, Bay Robertson, Griffin Robertson, Owen Daniel, Mary-Charlotte Daniel, William Daniel and Anna Lee Daniel, and great granddaughter, Olivia Daniel. Services will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 7th with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with services to follow.
