Randy William Ransom, Sr.

"Randy was born July 8, 1944 in Portsmouth, NH, grew up in Lake Hopatcong, NJ, and was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge.  He graduated from Sparta High School, Hopatcong, and served 4 years in the U.S. Navy.  Upon being honorably discharged from the Navy, Randy obtained his bachelor's degree from Florida State University.  He was a banker in Baton Rouge for 41 years.  He is preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Roy Ransom and his sister Mary Kaye.  Randy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jean Sagnibene Ransom; two sons, Randy Ransom, Jr., and his wife Heather, and Patrick Ransom; three beautiful granddaughters Amy Grace, Ellie Joy and Caroline Faith Ransom; sister, Judith Megna and husband Michael of Delaware and childhood friend of over 60 years, Tony Sorbara, of NJ.  Visitation will be at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy., Saturday, December 15th from 12:30 pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm celebrated by Father Phil Spano.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge, P.O.
