Ray Jules Hebert, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Denham Springs, passed away on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at the age of 89. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp and flew in 38 bombing missions in WWII. Ray retired from the Express Courier Service and the Ethyl Corporation. Ray was an accomplished baker and an avid fisherman. Ray was a very dedicated husband, a loving father and grandfather to his family and will truly be missed by many. He is survived by two daughters, Dolores Shoultz and husband Glen, and Ricky Cook and husband Jim; one son, Richard Hebert and his wife Barbara; two sisters, Helen Talley and Lorraine Silvio; one brother, James Hebert; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren ; and one great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Bertha Hebert; his parents, Andrew and Olive Hebert; two brothers, Andrew Hebert and James Anthony Hebert; and one sister Dorothy Lee. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday from 5-9pm and continue on Saturday from 8:30 until service at 10am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
