Rebecca "Becky" L. Melancon

Rebecca “Becky” Melancon, passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 62. Becky enjoyed traveling around the country for the last 19 years in her career as an Echocardiographer. During any spare time, she mostly enjoyed spending it with family, going to the beach, reading, shopping, and being with her precious cat, Boudreau. Becky graduated from Tara High School in 1981 and obtained associate degrees from Miami-Dade Community College, Okaloosa-Walton Community College, Florida Institute of Ultrasound, and Southern Medical Corporation, Inc. School of Cardio and Vascular Ultrasound. Becky is survived by her loving children, Rachel Hyde Stevens (Tyler) and Michael Hyde; her mother, Jeanette Giamanco Pendley; father, Don Melancon; grandchildren, Dakota and Jakob Hyde, and one on the way, Augustus Stevens; sister, Mitzi Webre (Barry); brother, David Melancon (Donna); half-brother, Dalyn Melancon; nieces, Mallory and Madison; nephew, Daniel; and her uncle, Rusty Giamanco, who was like a brother. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; and her stepfather, Paul Pendley. A private memorial will be held by her close family and friends.
