
Richard Paul Chenevert, a retired supervisory senior resident agent with the FBI, and employed as the security manager for Associated Grocers, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at age 57. He was a graduate of Catholic High School and LSU. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kleinpeter Chenevert; son, Hunter Chenevert and wife Emily; daughter, Savannah Chenevert; stepson, Rusty Sanders; parents, Henry M. and Esther Ann Chenevert; sisters, Denise Phillips and husband Ivan, and Lee Chenevert; uncle, Louis McHardy and wife Jackie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Flossie Chenevert, and Dr. Colin A. and Julia C. McHardy; mother and father-in-law, John Carroll "Pete" and Hazel Kleinpeter; and aunts, Jacqueline McIntyre and Margaret Jane Pool. Visitation at St. George Catholic Church on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 8:30 a.m. until funeral Mass at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Very Rev. Tom Ranzino and the Rev. Mike Schatzle. Internment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the FBI Agents Association Scholarship Fund, Habitat for Humanity or Redemptorist High School.
