Robert E. Byrd, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, March 08, 2017, at the Carpenter House, at the age of 73. Robert is survived by his loving and caring wife of 51 years, Linda; two daughters, Donna Sullivan and husband, David and Terri Keller and husband, Michael; one son, Bobby Byrd, Jr. and wife, Kim; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Ann Rogers; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and 2 special friends, Billy and Bobby Mills of Orange, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, N.C. and Stella Byrd; three brothers, Johnny, Charles and James Byrd and one sister, Jane Jones. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 12:00 PM.
