Robert B. Claxton, Sr.

Mr. Claxton, 93, died on June 6, 2026, following a lengthy illness. Terry Swanson will officiate the service with burial to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Mr. Claxton was born in Erin, Tennessee and was a 60-year resident of Port Allen, Louisiana. He was a retired microfilm tech for East Baton Rouge Parish.

Mr. Claxton was the son of the late J.R. Warden and Virginia Claxton.

Survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Martha Claxton; daughter, Tanya LeDoux (Glenn), daughter, Teresa Lundberg; grandchildren, Heather LeDoux Argrave (Jeff), Jeffery LeDoux, Kassi Lundberg, Ryan Lundberg, Thomas Lundberg (Caitlenn); great-grandchildren, Blake Lundberg, Carena Fory, Robert Fory, Emmberlynn Fory, Owen Lundberg; and son-in-law, Emmett Lundberg.

Robert was a down-to-earth man with a heart of gold who never hesitated to help others. Known for his generosity, he would gladly give someone the shirt off his back if they were in need. His beloved wife says when he was made, they threw the mold away.
