

Fabre, Robert W. Sr. (Bob), a native of Baton Rouge, La and a resident of Central, La passed away at his home with his loving family around him. Born on June 8, 1941, he was 71 when he passed away. He attended Redemptorist High School. He married the love of his life Barbara LeBlanc Fabre on December 14, 1957. Together they built a life that many said would never stand. Now for 55 years their love for family stood strong. He was a Louisiana Deer Hunter who passed his love of Louisiana Wildlife onto his family. He was a retired sheet metal worker out of Local 21 for 42 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara of 55 years; son, Robert, Jr. (Robby)and wife, Sharon; daughter, Kathleen (Kitty) Holden and husband, Bruce; grandchildren: Chloe’ Landry and husband, David; Ryan W. Fabre and wife, Kim; Rory D. Fabre and Cole Holden; great grandson, Hayden Landry; sister, Diane LaPorte and husband, Donald; sister-in-law Rose Ann (Bootsie) Fabre. He was cherished by all his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Marie Ethel Moore (Granny) Fabre and Commander Joseph Murphy Fabre, of the United States Navy; brother Louis A. Fabre; two sons, Richard Wilson and Randall Michael Fabre. Pallbearers will be Troy LaPorte, Dale Nelson, Ryan Fabre, Rory Fabre, Cole Holden, Joe Fabre, Jimmy Lockwood and David Landry. Honorary pallbearers: L.P.LeBlanc, Jay Thibodeaux, Gary Thibodeaux, Ronnie Thibodeaux, Jeffery Thibodeaux and Trent Thibodeaux. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Hershal Dean and the entire staff at the DaVita Dialysis Center on O’Neal Lane. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 5pm-9pm with Rosary at 7pm and will resume on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 10am until religious services at 12pm.
