Robert Wayne Harvey

We are mourning the death of Robert Wayne Harvey, a dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather and longtime friend. He was born in Baton Rouge on July 18, 1942 and had to leave us from here on June 19, 2026, almost 84 years old.

He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and later also LSU. He served 10½ years in the U S Army, first as a medic and then as a lab-technician. He spent 4 years of that time in Germany and one tour in South Korea; the remainder stateside.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Nora Harvey (Douglas) from Oakdale, Louisiana, and George McGehee Harvey from Liberty, Mississippi, his brother James “Jimmy” L. Harvey with wife Marlene Smith Harvey, also his son-in-law Robert Lamar Johnston.

He is survived by his son Christoph Robert Harvey, daughter-in-law Annette Harvey, grandson Richard Allan Harvey and great-granddaughter Kylie Lynn Harvey, his daughter Diana Christina Harvey along with Jared Perkins, and his granddaughter Michelle Martina Harvey Johnston, as well as a good friend of 61 years, Mary Andrews.

He is greatly missed. Visitation will be at 11am on June 30 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd. and at 12 noon we will proceed to Louisiana National cemetery in Zachary. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the staff of the ICU palliative care, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, for their great care and concern.
