A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert Allison Pearce died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, about 10 p.m. at Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing. He was 67, a resident of Prairieville and a native of Mansfield. He was a retired IBM customer service engineer. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Nov. 11, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visiting at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church on Monday from 2 p.m. until memorial service at 3 p.m. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Gayle Moore Pearce; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Pearce Green and Marlin Scott Green; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darren Scott Pearce and Charl Lee Pearce and William Hampton Pearce and Bonnie Bond Pearce; brother, Hampton Jackson Pearce Jr.; and 11 grandchildren, Christopher and wife Ashley Green, Patrick, Caroline, Samuel and Susannah Green, Nigel, Zoe, Cooper and Jonah Pearce and Lucian and Helena Pearce. Preceded in death by his father, Hampton Jackson Pearce Sr.; mother, Annie Allison Laiche; and stepfather, Orval J. Laiche. He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
