"Robert "Robi" Joseph Rispone passed away on Monday, January 29th, 2018, at 12:25 am in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After a fifteen-year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis, Robi succumbed to the disease and thus his life here on earth, as well as his pain and suffering, came to an end. He has now gone home where the burdens of this disease can no longer reach him, and he shall live with God for eternity. Robi, the eldest son of Robert "Bob" Rispone and Dolores Ann Rispone, was born on November 7, 1969, in San Diego, California. He was a graduate of Central High School and ITI Technical College. His career in the petrochemical industry began with ISC Constructors, where he was the thirty-eighth associate of the company. After nine years with ISC, Robi was hired by ExxonMobil where he worked as an Instrument Technician and Second Line Supervisor. He was an avid duck hunter, fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. However, his deepest love was for his friends and family, both immediate and extended. He was a beloved friend to many, devoted son, caring brother and loving father. His dedication to friends and family served as an example to his younger brothers, and his mentorship provided to them through difficult times will never be forgotten. Robi is survived by his son, Jacob Robert Rispone; father Robert "Bob" Rispone of Owensville, Indiana; mother Dolores Ann Rispone of Baton Rouge; brothers Chad Gerard Rispone and wife Sherry of Zachary, and Mario Rene Rispone and wife Hope of Prairieville. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Anthony "Tony" Rispone, grandmother Marie Gulino Rispone and grandmother Ofelia Granado Esquivel. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Thursday, February 1st, from 10:00am until 2:00pm where religious service will be held in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Deacon Randy Clement of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Services will be directly followed by burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Sterling Kidder, Dale Baker, Vince Rispone, Drew Rispone, Chad Rispone and Mario Rispone; with Jacob Rispone serving as an honorary pallbearer. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make monetary donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Robi's honor so that others may be spared the affliction of this disease.
