
Robert G Robinson III (Bob) passed away on May 13, 2014 in Baton Rouge at the age of 78. He is survived by his daughter, Martha (Marti) Gilmore Robinson (Robin Worsnop) of Edinburgh, Scotland and two granddaughters and daughter Nora Gehlen (Cornelius Weiss) of Koblenz, Germany and two grandsons. He is also survived by his half-sister Daphne Robinson Palliser (Jerry) of Covington, LA and their children and by Robinson and Donahue cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Robert Gibson Robinson, Jr. and Rosalie Donahue Duke. Also by his grandparents: Michael Joseph Donahue, former Auburn&LSU head football coach and Rosalie Donahue and Robert Gibson Robinson and Martha Gilmore Robinson. A resident of Baton Rouge, he attended Woodberry Forest School in Virginia and graduated from Baton Rouge High School. Bob was an Army veteran stationed in Germany in the late 1950's. He also for years lived in Spain in the early 60's. He graduated from Louisiana State University. He received Master's Degrees in Humanities and Linguistics from LSU and he completed his PhD in English from LSU at the age of 60. He was an educator who taught at Episcopal High School as well as public schools in Texas and Baton Rouge. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service of Mass at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Father Hill, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 749 East Boulevard Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
