She died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the age of 98. She was born September 7, 1917 in Plaquemine, LA but was currently residing in Tyler, TX. During her life she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies were bowling, playing cards and watching westerns. She was dearly loved by many and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerard Bives; and her son, Thomas Allain. She is survived by her sister Cora Lee Martin; daughter Darlene Benedetti and son-in-law Michael Benedetti; daughter-in-law Donna Mayeux; grandchildren Angel Anderson, Jonathan Benedetti, David Benedetti, Joanna Jamison, Jennifer Waldhelm, Meredith Wells, and Nicholas Mayeux; and great-grandchildren Mikayla Anderson, Brennan Anderson, Mason Anderson, Bailey Anderson, Jocelyn Benedetti, Janae Benedetti, Joel Benedetti, and Josiah Benedetti. A service will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, LA. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
