
Rollin Douglas Morgan Sr. died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006. He was 93, born Oct. 3, 1912. He was a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana Institute in civil engineering and a veteran of World War II. He was the state chief engineer in building the Toledo Bend Reservoir. He was a member of theUniversityUnitedMethodistChurch and a charter member of the Baton Rouge Rose Society. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Mitchell Morgan; a daughter, Gaynelle Morgan McNeil; a son, Rollin Douglas Morgan Jr.; a sister, Rosemary Hipp; a brother, Willy Morgan; grandsons, James William McNeil and Michael David McNeil; granddaughter, Jennifer Morgan Mader; and his great-grandchildren, Christopher McNeil, Rachel McNeil, Haley Mader, Douglas Mader, Molly Mader, Bonnie Mader, David McNeil and Henry McNeil. He was preceded in death by his father, James Kirby Morgan; mother, Molly Hayes Morgan; sisters, Ruth Colvin and Betty Morgan; and a brother, James Morgan. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Phillip Woodland. Interment atGreenoaksMemorial Park.
