

A resident of Baton Rouge and owner of ReBath of South Louisiana, Ron Leclerc died at 7:30 pm on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 62 and a native of Chicopee, MA. Ron proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, Sept. 12, at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16116 S Harrell's Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am celebrated by the Rev. Tom Ranzino. Burial will follow at 1:30 pm in the Carter Cemetery in Springfield, LA. He is survived by his wife, Janice L. Schneck Leclerc; daughter, Christy Skidmore Beard and husband Brent of Albany, LA; sister, Jeannette M. Marceau of Chicopee, MA; brothers, Joseph F. Leclerc and wife Lorraine of Ludlow, MA and Paul Laury Leclerc and wife Laurie Ann of Chicopee, MA; three grandchildren, Haileigh Clerc Bolton, Bryce Allen Beard and Bryn Addison Beard; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Alvine Poulin Leclerc Maynard; father, Ronaldo T. Leclerc; sister, Theresa M. Rivest; and brother, the Rev. Msgr. Leo A. Leclerc. Ron earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated in 1974 from Assumption College, Worchester, MA where he also played football and pole vaulted. He placed 1st in Pole Vaulting in the 2002 St. Tammany Senior Olympics. Ron very much enjoyed spending time with his loving family, watching football, staying physically fit and active and inspiring others to do the same.
