

Ronald Joseph Paille, Sr. a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, October 3 in the comfort of his home. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years and close friends. ‘Ronnie’ was born to Cleveland J. Paille Sr. and Yvonne White Paille on August 11, 1941 in Baton Rouge. He was the oldest of 7 children and was raised in Dutchtown, LA where he graduated from Dutchtown High School, Class of 1959. He married Maxine Reeves Paille, a graduate of Istrouma High School, Class of 1960. Ronnie had a wonderful career and retired from Entergy/Gulf States Utilities where he served as a Maintenance Supervisor, Project Manager, and Governmental Affairs Lobbyist with over 30 years of service. His family was his world just as he was theirs. He loved his LSU Fighting Tigers and watching his daughter dance as an LSU Golden Girl. He also loved to dance with the best partner in the world, his cherished wife, and he loved making others laugh by sharing his many Boudreaux jokes. His zest for laughing was contagious. His hobbies included playing golf, bowling, and hunting. He is survived by his two children: Shuntel Paille Beach (State Senator Brandon Beach) of Alpharetta, GA, and Ronald Joseph Paille Jr. (Rob McMillan) of Madison, WI. His two children were both graduates of Louisiana State University. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Courtney Beach Clark, Esq. (State Rep. David Clark) of Sugar Hill, GA, and Hunter Beach (his favorite golfer) of Alpharetta, GA, and one great-granddaughter, Madison Clark of Sugar Hill, GA. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Robert William Paille, Sr. (Ann), Cleveland Paille, Jr. (Jeanie), Kenneth Paille (Janice), Beth Bertrand (Russ), and Grace Cazes (Jim). He is also survived by his godchild, Ashley Zeringue Hart, his honorary daughter, Michele Bowlin Kirkpatrick, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, Hollis and Charlene Reeves, his sister Sheryl Paille Zeringue and his brother-in-law Bill Reeves (Irene). The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Linda McLaurin, Gayle Deshotels, Dolores Shingleur, Kevin Reeves, and the Audubon Hospice family for their loving care and support. There will be a visitation on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Associate Pastor Merlin Liverman of Parkview Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home, with final resting in the Lakeview Mausoleum, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
