A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Ronny was born Dec. 5, 1948, and passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 11, 2011, at his home. He graduated from Istrouma High School in 1966 and retired from Exxon Chemical in 1994. His parents, Ruth Passman Schilling and Edwin N. Schilling, as well as his siblings, Buddy and Patsy, predeceased him. Survivors, all of Baton Rouge, include his son, Michael Jason "M.J." Schilling; and daughter, Veronica Schilling Gulley and her husband, Doug, and their sons, Douglas and Grayson; and former wife, Betty S. Helm. A brief visitation will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Monday, June 13, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., with services and burial immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge.
