Roy Calvin Shehane followed his beloved wife Janice into Heaven August 31, 2013 at 12:58 am. He died peacefully in his sleep. He was 88 years old. Roy served his country proudly in WWII. Following his military service, Roy returned home to care for his family with love and kindness. He served faithfully as a Gideon to help spread the Gospel around the world. He will be sorely missed. Roy is survived by his daughter, Nancy and her husband Marvin, his son, Richard, and his sister, Patricia. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Michelle, Tracy, Aaron, Erica and Ryan; eight great grandchildren, Stacey, Samantha, Ashlie, Cody, Shannon, Robert, Riley and Davis; and two great great grandchildren, Kameron and Katherine. His cremated remains will be buried alongside his wife at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Baton Rouge with a service there at 10:30 am, Monday, September 9, 2013.
