A retired medical technician and teacher, she passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. She was 87, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Gonzales. She received her bachelor of science degree in medical technology from Loyola University. She is survived by her husband, John E. Firestone Sr.; daughter, Ann Tallant Orlando; two sons, Drury John Tallant and James Anthony Tallant; three stepchildren, Claire F. Pasqua, Marjorie A. Firestone and John E. Firestone Jr.; grandchildren, Frances Orlando Bertolami and Ryan Mitchel Tallant; great-grandson, Owen Terry Bertolami; and two brothers, Nolan Angelo Lamendola and Glenn Vincent Lamendola. She was preceded in death by her husband of first marriage, John Drury Tallant; and parents, Angelo Anthony and Eva Smiley Lamendola.
