Ruby (Townsend) Peak

Ruby Townsend Peak, born October 23, 1937, departed this life peacefully on April 18,2025 in Flower Mound, Texas. As a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, Ruby touched the lives of countless people with abundant love, joy, humor, and kindness. Ruby resided in Flower Mound for the last few years where she immediately embraced her new community at Pinewood Hills with the same love, joy, humor, and kindness for her newfound friends. Ruby is deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Ruby is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Peak; brother-in-law, Stan Barnett; and her sister, Jeanne Barnett.

Ruby is survived by her daughter Anne Cavell and her husband Chris; sons Guy Dawson and Ike Peak and his wife Jill Peak.

Ruby is also survived by grandchildren Diana and her husband Jeremy, Lauren and her husband Bobby, Jessica, Jennifer, Dane, Lexi and Madison; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, Dakota, and Hallie; and great-great grandchildren Max and Stormy.

A memorial gathering will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9 am until memorial service at 10 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
