Russell Dennis, Navy veteran and retired Contractor, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012. He was 78 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Bennett Dennis; mother, Ona Logston; father, Dillard Dennis; and brother Alvin Dennis. He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Indovina and Desiree' Roper; two sons, Russell Dennis, Jr. and Darrell Dennis; two step-daughters, Dayne Narretta and Traci Falcon; two sisters Loreen Solis and Coreen Beacadray; one brother, Leon J. Dennis; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Falcon, Laci Falcon, Ace Indovina, Hope Melerine, Brandon Indovina, Tiffany Ramirez, Rusty Dennis, Joey Dennis, Tara Boynes, and Darrell Powell; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge on Saturday, June 16, from noon to 2:00 p.m. with memorial service immediately following.
