He was a great cook and his children have fond memories of creating big messes in the kitchen as they made chicken and dumplings on cold nights or breakfast together on lazy Sunday mornings. He was a life-long LSU Tigers fan and a devoted New Orleans Saints fan. Russ enjoyed watching sports with his kids. He also loved animals, especially his beloved dogs, reptiles, bunny and multiple cats over the years. He loved gardening and was always interested in having unusual cactus and succulents. Russ was loved by many people. He and his friends loved paint ball, skate boarding and occasionally slipping out on Thursday nights to “study” at Tabby Thomas’s Blues Club. He loved dancing and dancing with Bailey and Landon. Russ and his friends enjoyed watching sports or just being there for each other as they navigated through life.
