Ruth Evelyn Davis Bennett passed away on June 13, 2016 in the hospice wing of the Baton Rouge General Hospital. Ruth was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on January 22, 1929 to the late Oran Lloyd Davis and Mercedes Rosado Davis. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, her grandchildren and her dog, Itsy. Ruth was a longtime trust officer at City National Bank and retired from the bank to manage her husband Bob's service stations - Capital Heights Exxon and Ardenwood Exxon. Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Bennett; her children, Rick Norman (Polly), Cyndi Norman, Phyllis Norman, Kenn Norman (Julie); grandchildren Rosie, Jud and Joe; great grandchild India; her step-children Bobby (Cathy), Lurline (John); step-grandchildren Jacob and Jared; and siblings Jim Davis (Janet) and Judi Buchanan (Max). She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gloria d'Aquin (Warren). Special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge. Cremation has been entrusted to Rabenhorst Funeral Home. No service will be held.
