With a strong faith and gifts of compassion, intelligence, and talent, she devoted herself to her family and to others in need, and was active in the community, Girl Scouts, the First Presbyterian Church, and animal rescue projects. She was creative and a lifelong learner of art, classical music, and landscape design. Professionally, she worked in insurance and later owned a successful office rental business.
