
"Ruth Zimmerman McCoy, affectionately known as Teeta, passed away peacefully the evening of September 12th at home surrounded by loved ones. Ruth was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside, an elegant lady, a wonderful role model, loving mother, treasured grandmother, and doting great grandmother. In everything she did her grace, love and compassion was evident. She was born in Whitesboro, Kentucky and attended Virginia Intermont College and Ohio State where she met her husband. She was married to the love of her life, Chuck McCoy, for 60 years. Their marriage was an example to all who knew them. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and loving husband. She leaves behind her three children: Missy Waguespack, Brent McCoy, and Shelley Alexander and their spouses: Sunny McCoy and Karl Alexander. She also leaves behind her grand children: Lacy and George Bofinger, Todd and Jennifer Waguespack, Melissa and Bryan Fitzgerald, Liz and Josh Russell, Summer and John Ellis, Marysunny McCoy, Cate and Emerich Gutter, Sarabrent McCoy, Brooke and Tory Johnson, Whitney and Spencer Moss. Lastly and most specially she leaves behind her great grandchildren: Thomas and McCoy Bofinger; Jack Henry Waguespack and Charlie Williamson; Charlie and Carter Fitzgerald; Walker and Grant Pou; John, Anna Charles, James, and Elizabeth Ellis; Rives, James, Grace, and Jane Alden Johnson; McCoy, Margaret, and Spence Moss. The family would like to give thanks to Marion Jackson and Debra Collins for their loving care and loyal support throughout the years. There will be a private family celebration of Ruth's life at a later date.
