Ruth Elane Stroud, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the age of 92. She loved good food, socializing, traveling and spending time with her family. Ruth will always be known for her wonderful smile that could light up a room. She was a lifelong member of Goodwood Church of Christ and recently joined Hebron Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She was preceded in death by her lifelong husband Karl Monroe Stroud. She is survived by her children, Keith Stroud and JoHannah Stroud, Karel Stroud Chicola and fiancé Danny Cook, Kay Stroud Wingate and husband Michael R.Wingate, Kent Stroud and wife Lisa Stroud. Ten grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Greenoaks Funeral Home located at 9595 Florida Blvd from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
