

Sadie Ruth “Bonnie” Bonnecarrere Taylor, a resident of Baton Rouge and born in Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the age of 92. She was a longtime member of Jefferson United Methodist Church, a member of the Baton Rouge Chapter of Eastern Star, and she retired from the EBR Parish School Board. Sadie Ruth was an avid LSU baseball and football fan, had a passion for her garden and plants, and loved learning new things and meeting new people. Her family was her foundation and helping others was her delight. Sadie Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who’s caring and nurturing personality will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her two daughters, Renee Taylor Campbell and husband, Fred, of Biloxi, MS, and Cathi Taylor Kirk and husband, Jim, of Alexandria; granddaughter, Allison Taylor Kirk of Alexandria; sisters, Nellie Mae Cox of Waveland, MS, and Joyce Campbell of Baton Rouge; brother, Donald Bonnecarrere of Baton Rouge; and godchildren, Ann Kearney of Waveland, MS, and Steven Campbell of Zachary. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J.P. and Sadie Bonnecarrere; husband, Kenneth E. Taylor; three brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm and will resume Friday, September 27, 2013 at Jefferson United Methodist Church from 9am until funeral service at 10am.
