Samuel Ray Bass

Sam was a maintenance 1 property management employee, a native of Key West, Florida and a resident of Baton Rouge. He died at 6:58pm Monday, February 24, 2014, at Promise Hospital of Baton Rouge. Sam was 48. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Monday from 5:00pm until the Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 7:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Tom Denton. Sam is survived by his sister: Denise DeWeese; and his girlfriend: Sherie Toups. Sam was a beloved brother, uncle, boyfriend and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Sam was always ready and willing to lend a hand and could work on anything. Sam enjoyed spending time with friends, watching the Saints, NASCAR racing and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his father: Terrence D. Bass Sr.; mother: Eulora Terry Bass; and a brother: Terrence D. Bass, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Reid, John Ekey and Pete DeWeese Jr. Sam was a graduate of Grace King High School in Metairie; and a graduate of Diesel Driving Academy of Baton Rouge.
